Talent Show (At the High School Camps only):
All campers are invited to participate in the Camp Talent Show. This extremely popular show features singing, dancing, acting, juggling, skits or any other talent you or your group has. Bring your musical instrument, your music, your dance steps, or drama presentation, or anything else you might need to participate.

Supervision:
All CADA camps are staffed and supervised by responsible credentialed educators at a minimum ratio of one adult for every twelve students.
Dance:
The first evening all campers will have the opportunity to meet others at our opening “Greeter Dance”. A closing farewell dance will be held the last evening. Middle school campers will have one dance due to the length of the middle school camps.
Advisor Sessions:
The advisor program, which is parallel to the
student program, will cover topics designed to assist new and
experienced advisors in developing the most effective strategies to
meet their individual school activity plans. Again this year college
credit for the CADA Certification Program will be available.
(There is an additional fee for participation in this program.)
Transportation to Camps:
All students are to be transported by parents, advisors, or a common carrier (train, bus, or plane). Due to legal concerns students may not drive themselves to camp under any circumstances. For information regarding shuttle service to the university from airports or stations call us. Special note for those taking the train to UCSB ...Again this year we will be using the station in Goleta. Please book your passage to Goleta (not Santa Barbara) as this is where the special CADA shuttle will pick up. Early arrival schools must make their own shuttle arrangements as the CADA shuttle is only provided on the first and last days of each camp. This CADA shuttle service is free.
Important Information for 2012:
• At all CADA/CASL student events we do require that an advisor or responsible adult attend with your delegation.
• Any school bringing more than 15 students to any one camp must bring a second advisor or responsible adult to assist with supervision of the delegation.
Confirmation:
Upon receipt of your application and fees, individual student and advisor registration forms will be sent to you. Names of your students are not needed until early June.
Look, Don't Miss These...
• Our experience with CADA/CASL Camps has shown that when the advisor attends with his/her students, the school year and camp experience is more meaningful and productive. That is why all CADA/CASL events require an advisor or responsible adult to attend with their student delegation.
• With these limitations, please be aware that the CADA/CASL Leadership Camp curriculum is designed, primarily, for new student council members.

For funding help:
- CADA Leadership Camps may be fundable through Associated Student Body Funds.
- School site and district budgets can help pay for CADA Camp.
- Outside sources that may assist are Title IV (Safe & Drug Free Schools), Tobacco Use Prevention Education Program (TUPE), and Stimulus/AARA funds (Title 1-for at risk student, IDEA funds for general education population).
- Because of the large number of SCANS skills offered at CADA camps, funds may be available through school-to-career
funding sources. - Your local community service clubs may also be a viable place to look for help.
